Benefits of Carrying a Neck Knife
Like everything, neck knives have their pros and cons. Here is a look at some of the advantages of having a neck knife with you.
- Easy to Carry: Whether you need one for EDC or camping, survival situation, etc. a neck knife is a handy tool to have as it is easy to carry. All you do is wear it around your neck on a chain or paracord and you are all set! You do not have to worry about finding the best keychain or belt attachment to secure it on.
- Outstanding Size and Weight: Neck knives are compact and lightweight, which is again great for carrying around and you can discreetly wear it on your neck without it bothering you. Your knife stays hidden, but you can still use it whenever or wherever you need to.
- Always with You: It can be pretty tough to find a knife that you can have with you at all times, but with a neck knife, you do not have to worry about that. You can have it with you at all times no matter where you are. It is right there, easily accessible, whenever you need it.

This is a superb neck knife with a full tang Wharncliffe blade style, which makes it look awesome and perform well. The blade material is 5Cr15MoV steel, which is excellent as it gives you a solid, durable knife.
The 2-inch blade is incredibly sharp and holds its edge well too. Unlike a lot of the other small neck knives out there, the Micarta handle with three finger choils is highly functional for a range of cutting tasks. If you are looking for a compact and lightweight knife that is comfortable and solid, the CKRT Folts Minimalist is the one for you. Even Detective AniBezzerides from True Detective would approve and she proved she knows how to use a knife!
Opinion: We really like the CKRT Folts Minimalist neck knife, we think it is one of the best small knives out there, especially at this price range. It is sharp, super light and best of all, easy to carry. We believe it is an excellent knife to have with you at all times and to use it in your everyday tasks. For many, it is the most useful knife they own.
If there was anything that we would like to change, it would be the steel used to make the blade and a few small tweaks in the fit and finish. Other than this, there are no complaints and we highly recommend the Folts Minimalist knife to anyone looking for an affordable EDC neck knife.

The textured powder coat gives it a nice touch and many users say that it is superior to the finishes on other well-known brands. The skeletonized handle is comfortable to use.
The Candiru comes with the molded white Kydex sheath as well as a clip plate. It is sharp and holds its edge well, even after multiple uses. If you are looking for a cool-looking neck knife with impressive features, this is the one for you.
Opinion: We have some sensational things to say about the ESEE Candiru. We believe it is one of the most well-made neck knives. We find that it is versatile and profound for all types of small tasks. It is sharp and the edge stays sharp for a long time, even after using it several times for various jobs. Although it is quite small, you can be sure that it is solid and strong, not to mention durable.

If you use a Micarta scale handle over it, it becomes a completely different knife and feels amazing in the hand. This is the only complaint that we have. Apart from that, we can say that the Candiru does not have that many flaws and recommend it as a small knife to complement a larger one or to be used alone for EDC.

For many users who have bought and used the Schrade SCHF16, there is no other small survival knife quite like it. In fact, some users bought two because they liked it so much. We find that the exposed pommel is a handy little bonus that many users like. Versatile and easy to use, this knife is one of the top neck knives you can buy at the moment.

Apart from this, we have nothing but good to say about the knife itself. We highly recommend buying more than one – that is how awesome we believe the ESEE Izula II is!
Using the Izula II will not enable you to take down a lion but it will help you fend off a human attacker.
